Tara Colon

Tara began running in September 2014, it was just a fluke and just kept running, she caught the running bug. She first started running to improve her times and wanted to train for her first half marathon in 2016. After numerous half marathons 10Ks and 4 dozens 5Ks under her belt, Tara decided to run a full marathon at the Los Angeles, CA in 2017. She had a fabulous time. She loves volunteering with Team RWB, helping veterans and others, and is known as “Engerizer Bunny” because of her upbeat personality, determination, and willingness to motivate others. She works as a teacher, she loves being with students and helping them learn. Tara just finished her first Ironman 70.3 Triathlon in Ohio, did her first relay with Team Lady Eagles. Tara is CPR, AED, and First Aid cerified. Tara also belongs to several local running groups and loves to encourage others. Her Marathon PR is 5:09:54, her half PR is 2:21:09, and her 5k PR is 29:45. Tara placed 3rd in her age group as a competitive walker at the New Albany Walking Classic Half Marathon, she PRed at 2:56:08 in 2016, Tara recently beat that PRed by speed walking half marathon at Ironman at 2:42:18.
