Stephanie has not always been a runner. In fact, one of her favorite phrases used to be, “This body doesn’t run.” In 2009 however, after realizing how overweight and out of shape she was, she knew something had to change.

She began moving more and eating less. Immediately she began seeing results. It wasn’t until she picked up running that she finally found her passion, her joy. On March 27, 2011 she went out for her first jog. She made it about 8 minutes before she had to stop. On March 4, 2012, less than one year later and after losing a total of 60 pounds, she completed her first marathon (26.2 miles/ 42 km) in the top half of finishers! She was now a runner and she was strong.

Stephanie, also known as Run Strong Run, is currently a wife, mother, No Meat Athlete, teacher, and runner! She wants to spread her joy of running to others so they too may find their passion, their joy, and their health!
