Stephanie ran track in high school, but once in college lost the desire to run and “Freshman 15” and then some crept upon her. So, as a means to lose weight, she returned to running and feel back in love with it in April 2013. She ran numerous 5Ks and other short distances at that time, only to have the desire to complete a Half Marathon. She started training for her first Half Marathon, which took place in November 2013. At Mile #9, she thought to herself: “I will never do this again.” Well, that has all changed. As of late, she has completed 24 Half Marathons and is currently on the quest to complete a Half Marathon in all 50 states. She has already completed 16 states, with more on the horizon before the year ends. Additionally, she is training to complete her first Full in September 2015. As far as the weight loss journey, Stephanie has loss 40 pounds due to falling back in love with running.
