Sherry began running in middle school when her mom made her join the track team. She realized she loved it and continued to run in track and cross country though high school.
She took a hiatus for a few years. In 2003 her husband was killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. She realized that she needed something to ease the pain. Running became her escape. She ran her first half marathon that year. She continues to run half marathons with a goal to complete one in every state. Sherry is blessed to have met another wonderful man and is once again happily married.
