Ruth Clymor

Ruth had a rediscovery of running after a 10 year hiatus. As a cross country runner in high school, she loved running but a change of schools ended her running days as other sports were offered and the cross country team was lacking. She smoked for 9 years and had that A-HA moment one day and decided to quit smoking and registered for her first marathon (Denver Rock N Roll 2010). She ran that marathon and swore them off. But Ruth found the half marathon distance very fun and much more manageable. After running many back to back half marathons to qualify for the Half Fanatics, another running friend convinced her to try the full distance again. Ruth ran it and found the joy that can be accomplished in running 26 miles. Fast forward many years, Ruth has finished 40 marathons, 60 half marathons, 7 half Ironman, and 9 Ironman 140.6!
