Roger calls St. Louis home and loves the fantastic running community that exists there. He’s been a professional carpenter (and thus an occasional accidental self-injurer) since 2001, even longer than he’s been a runner. He lives with his longtime girlfriend, their combined four kids and two dogs.
Roger’s first race after grade school was a marathon at age 30 in 2003, because he’s not smart enough to ease his way into things. 25 marathons, many half marathons, 10Ks, 5Ks, and races of other distances ranging from 1 mile to 104 miles later, he just might be hooked. He’s looking forward to sharing the obsession with others.
“Turn your brain off and go!” is a favorite mantra and piece of advice.
