Nathan went through high school avoiding any sort of running by being a lineman in football and competing in only field events during track season. In 1992, right out of high school, he joined the Army and running became a part of his daily life. Over 20 years has past and now retired from the service, he looks back on countless races ran in many different countries.
The half marathon is his distance of choice and enjoys training with his wife and running partner. Currently he can be found running the streets of Bellevue, Nebraska. Enjoying retirement and attending college classes before starting his next career.
He has the ability to consistently finish a half marathon in 1:30, but has a personal best of 1:22. Knowing that not everyone understands how to pace themselves, he wants to be a positive model during races to help all runners compete and finish with a smile on their face.
