Mike Strobel

Mike has been a runner for most of his 60 years. In 2014 he finished his last state to complete the 50 State Marathon Club. He ended up writing a book about the experience called Finding America: 26.2 miles at a time. He is the race director for the Boring Marathon, which is in it’s 6th year. He also is a leader and officer for the Eastwind Running and Endurance Club in the Gresham, Oregon area. He posts a daily running blog and leads daily runs at 4 and 5 AM. He coaches distance runners for West Orient Middle School. He runs every day and in 2018 logged over 4,000 running miles for the year. Having raced most of his life, Mike now wants to help others by pacing marathons and helping them reach their goals.
