Melony returned to running in her 40’s after her 3rd ankle reconstruction. She enjoys the freedom and beauty of running through the many seasons of weather. She became involved in half-marathon running while raising money for a medical cause that impacted her family. She soon remembered the lost love of running as it brought a physical and mental improvement to her life. This has resulted in many half-marathons, marathons, and relays run in the past decade. When not running through a sun rise Melony is a mental health therapist for veterans. She is a retired Army Veteran with 16 years’ experience. She enjoys sharing the love of running with her family and friends. Pacing has brought the ability to encourage and support other runners as they achieve their own personal goals in each race. She embraces the idea of running your own race at your own pace while accomplishing personal bests.
