Meg began running 30 plus years ago, initially as a sprinter, considering the quarter mile to be “long distance”. After two injury prone years of running for a small private college in Kansas, she decided to give up competition but continued running on a regular basis with a social running club in Kansas. With friends in this running club, she completed numerous road races, and two full marathons. Upon moving to Colorado 20 plus years ago, solo training continued on a somewhat regular basis. Several years ago, after a very long hiatus from any form of competition Meg decided to run in some local races. With a running partner and very good friend, Meg has completed a number of half marathons, 10 milers, 15-K’s, and 10-K’s. With many miles logged on her legs, she finds they won’t run nearly as fast as they once did, but they can chug along for quite some time. While Meg is not working towards any PR’s she enjoys the social aspect of running, and the camaraderie found in the fellow runner. On a personal level, Meg is a CPA, working for a municipal utility, married to her best friend, Lewis Fox, and the proud mother of two teenage/preteen kids and one cat.
