Lourdes was never much of a runner. She started running in 2012 in an effort to lose weight and discovered that she really enjoyed it. She participated in many small local races eventually moving her way up to running 13.1 distance races. That is when she discovered her love for endurance racing and started training in swimming and cycling as well. Lourdes has competed in many sprint, a few Olympic and 2 70.3 Ironman races and is hoping to finish her first marathon in the near future.
