Liz started running in 2010 when some friends planned a girls’ weekend in Vegas, and they all decided they might as well do a half marathon while they were there. By the end of the race, she was hooked! Since then, she has completed more races than she can count in distances ranging from 5k – 50k.
In 2013, Liz joined the San Diego Track Club while training for her first marathon. She has found the running community to be incredibly welcoming and supportive, and encourages every runner to sign up with their local running club. In her experience, running is much better with friends, and runners make the best friends.
When she’s not running, Liz enjoys hanging out with her husband and dogs, teaching chemistry (yes, really), watching hockey, and generally enjoying all of the adventures that San Diego has to offer.
