Katherine began running in 2010, racing her first 5k that summer. After experiencing difficulty as an “on-again, off-again” runner for a few years, she joined a Chicagoland running club and thrived ever since. Starting from scratch with a walk/run program, she embraced her new community of fellow runners who were all working to build new skills and achieve various feats. While rebuilding her running base, she learned valuable lessons through strength training, speed workouts, and most importantly other runners. Katherine was introduced to pacing in early 2016 and has been hooked ever since. She finds it very rewarding to help others achieve goals, just as she has received coaching and encouragement from others.
Katherine is a wife and mother of two young children, living in the Chicago suburbs. She enjoys all race distances from 5k to half marathon, and looks forward to setting new goals with full marathons.
