Josh took up running at age 40, and has since run many races at every distance from 2 miles to 50 miles. He runs to stay ahead of the things chasing him, and loves the challenge of fighting off the relentless march of time by pushing for new personal bests. Running trail races with his daughter through the rocks and cacti of the Texas hill country led him to realize how much he enjoyed encouraging others to reach their running goals and get involved in pacing. When not running, Josh teaches math and philosophy, and so is perfectly positioned not only to calculate your pace, but also to explain to you why maintaining that pace is part of the good life.
