Jorge Guevara

Jorge has an extensive sports history including  swimming & track records. Born and raised in Mexico City Jorge was the National  Champion in the 110 meter hurdles from 1985 to 1988, he was part of the Mexican Olympic Team in ‘88.  In 1989 he and his family moved to So Cal and put running on hold for the next several years. A US citizen since 2006, Jorge continues to set records and take names all while being a proud single dad of 5.
In 2007 he returned to sports lifting weights and doing some very light running, in 2008 he moved to Austin TX and started running more, taking part in his first 10K and completing it in 52 minutes. Since then he has not stopped running, completing his first Half marathon in 2009 in 1:33, a year later his first Marathon in 3:31. He’s done it all since then, including trail racing from 25K’s – 50 Miles and one 100K race, he had a Western States qualifier while running his first 50M at Cactus Rose 50M in Bandera Texas in 10:57.
In 2012 he started training for Triathlons and completed his first half Iron distance in 2013 in 5:19. He has completed several Sprint Triathlons, Olympic distances and he is looking into completing his first full Ironman soon.
He enjoys helping others reach their goals, he is a great motivator, friend and dad.
