John Leachman

John started running in 2006 and competed in his first 5K in 2008. He’ll be the first to tell you his first GPS watch purchase in 2010 was when running became a central part of his lifestyle as the runs became self-competitive to beat the average pace or go for a distance PR. Since 2010 he has run multiple half marathons and marathons, all feats he once thought insurmountable. His biggest joy comes with running with his 14 year old son, Cameron, who is on the moderate to severe scale of the Autism Spectrum Disorder. Cameron made the cross-country team and at Fulbright Jr. High in 2015, ran his first 5K with John, and is training with for his first half marathon in April of 2016. Seeing the joy of people achieving their goals, whether distance or pace, is what drives John as a pacer during races.
