Jany started transitioning from walking to running at the end of 2011 as part of her weight loss journey. A family friend (whose son was an avid/ competitive runner) who saw potential in her, convinced her to run her 1st race, which was a half marathon. That finish line, transformed Jany and inspired/ motivated her to keep setting new goals. Since then, she has run roughly 40 half marathons (1:30:55) and 19 full marathons (3:14:28). She was motivated to pacing to help others achieve their goals.
