Ingrid caught the running bug in 2016 when she first signed up for the San Francisco Half Marathon on a whim in a boba shop. Since then, she has been obsessed with the sport: from hitting the trails in the Oakland/Berkeley hills to making loops around Lake Merritt with her german shepherd mix, Stewie, she loves the feeling of accomplishment that a run provides. Ingrid loves the discipline and motivation it takes to tie up her running shoes and get a run in. Even more so, she loves the feeling of camaraderie and community that a race provides: when the hard work put into training intersects with the feeling of so many strong people putting one foot in front of the other to get to the finish, goals are achieved, and that’s the best feeling!
When Ingrid is not running, she can be found playing (or napping) with her dog, reading a good book, or teaching math to high schoolers.
