Harold Leavitt

“NO ONE CAN WIN EVERY BATTLE…BUT NO MAN SHOULD FALL WITHOUT A STRUGGLE”…

Harold, is a perfect example of this quote. Harold is not what you would define as a runner. Harold used to play video games for hours, drink a six pack of coke and finished a bag of Doritos in one sitting. He was a last person you would ever think to run a half marathon. In 2015 Harold put down the joy stick and started to run. Although Harold was slow and home with aches and pains he completed several 5k’s and eventually had the endurance to complete a 10k. Now after a years of training and losing 40 pounds he can easily complete a half marathon without as many aches and pains as before. Harold runs with his wife who was the inspiration for him to start running. Harold likes train in forest park and with the Big River Training Team. His strategy is 2 minute walk/run. During runs with friends he likes to sing songs, takes selfies, talk about food, movies, wrestling or anything interesting to take the pain away.  Harold’s fastest time was the Rock the Parkway Half Marathon at 2:51.
