Evelyn Watkins

Evelyn is a Mississippi native who began running & going to the gym in her 20’s. She ran her first 5K at the age of 26 in 2006, and hasn’t stopped since.  After foot surgeries in 2007 allowed her to run pain free, she began dreaming of longer distances.  Her first marathon was the St. Jude Memphis marathon in December 2009.  In 2013 she completed her first ultra marathon, a 50 miler in Laurel, Mississippi.  In 2011, she decided to devote her life to helping others maintain a healthy active lifestyle.  She ended her career in television after 12 years and returned to college to pursue a degree in Exercise Science.  Evelyn is now an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, RRCA Running Coach and TRX Instructor.  She spends most mornings in the trails of her local park and her afternoons in the gym pushing her clients toward their goals. She is currently working on completing a marathon in all 50 states. She enjoys pacing the Mississippi Blues Marathon each year and has also served as bicycle pacer for wheelchair participants at her hometown race for 2 years.  She is a Ruthenium level member of Marathon Maniacs and 50 States Marathon Club.  Her motto: Never Limit your Challenges.  CHALLENGE YOUR LIMITS!
