Derrick Searle

After donating a kidney to his dad, Derrick decided he needed a healthy habit.  He took up running in 2013, running his first half marathon. Derrick has always enjoyed hiking, and he has climbed 25 of Colorado’s 53 fourteeners.  So, naturally, trail running appealed to him. Derrick has run races up to 50 miles and 2019 will be his first 100k. His wife and two young children are his biggest cheerleaders, greeting him at the finish line of almost every race.  If you need him you’ll likely find him getting lost somewhere in the trails outside of Fort Collins, CO. Derrick has been a social worker for nearly 20 years, and he still gets amazing pleasure out of helping others achieve their own personal best.
