One day in May of 2015 and at age 38, Dale decided to give running a try after the thought of lugging her bike down three flights of apartment stairs seemed like too much effort. Struggling after only a couple of minutes, she realized this running thing was no joke and would need some sort of training program. The C25K app was downloaded and she soon found herself bragging to her runner friends about making it a whole 10 minutes without walking.
She decided to sign up for a 5K every month in order to stay motivated. By the sixth month 5Ks turned into 10Ks, with 15Ks following soon after. Her first half marathon was in November of 2016 and she has yet to stop signing up for races. Dale has her mind set on 2020 for her first marathon.
Running has helped Dale on so many levels other than just the physical and she loves inspiring others with how far she has come and what is possible.
