Cynthia is a stay at home mom of 4 children. She has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Arizona State University. She worked as a social worker before deciding to stay home to raise her children.
Running has always been a passion of her. She ran her first 5k with her father at the age of 5. Her father Antonio was later approached by Dr. Diaz a running coach. Dr. Diaz invited Cynthia to be part of a running club Seguro Social of San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora. This is where it all began. She began to fall in love with it. As she grew up she was attending races in Baja California, Sonora and Arizona area. It was not until High School that she realized she could go somewhere with it. She was offered different scholarships through academics, cross country and track to different colleges. Being a home body she decided to stay close to home and attend Glendale Community College for 2 year who she ran for and then transfer to ASU. She hung her shoes to focus on family. It was not until having her last child that she had the urge to get back in to her running shoes. She has now been physically active in the running and triathlete community. She has recently become an Ironman and looks forward to what the future has instore for her.
