Chris, 37 years old, found his love of running only 5 years ago. He was born in Salt Lake City, but grew up in Boise, Idaho. He caught the running bug after he was invited by co-workers to join their Ragnar Relay (Wasatch Back). Since then he has run over 3 dozen half marathons, yet only one marathon. He has also run over 8 Ragnar Relays, where he and his friends plan a run-cation every year to a new event.
When he is not running, Chris is an Architect in Boise, Idaho. Besides running, Chris enjoys hiking, camping and fishing. He spent most of his childhood in the mountains of Idaho enjoy mother nature.
Chris’s moto in running is “Have fun while you enjoy the world around you”. Chris enjoys seeing other runners pushing themselves to get better. He always encourages the other runners on the course, because he knows that sometimes the voice saying “great job” gives you that little push to get to the finish.
You will always find Chris jumping for joy or looking goofy on the course when he sees a photographer on the course. He says he doesn’t want to have a photo taken where he has one of those “ugly race faces”. At the finish line you will find Chris with a high five for everyone in his pace group.
