Bruce Vu

Bruce is an aerospace engineer at NASA Kennedy Space Center and a part-time professor. He started running after seeing his colleagues, most of whom are stuck to their computer desktops 8 hours a day, getting seriously out of shape. He realized he was becoming one of them. One day during summer 2014 he decided to go out for a run, it was only one mile but it took him nearly 15 minutes. He didn’t quit, he just kept running, the distance grew further and further as the pace kept dropping. Now he is racing competitively in any distance from 5K to ultras. He also got his whole family (wife and three daughters) into running, — even the family dog, a little rat terrier, is also a competitive runner. Bruce’s goal as a pacer is to help, encourage and motivate other runners to finish the race.
