Bill Schroeder

Bill Schroeder

Bill lives in Georgetown, Texas and is a Senior Manager at Dell, Inc.  He is a former US Air Force officer who served in the Pacific and Europe.

Bill has been a competitive runner since 1974 and has paced several marathons for the 3:10 and 3:00.

Bill was co-captain and the MVP of his high school track team.  Not only did he letter in track but also soccer while attending Finneytown High School in Cincinnati.

Bill has been coaching since 1981.  Starting out as girl’s high school track coach where he was named coach of the year 4 out of 5 years.  He also coached boy’s high school cross-country for one year.  Also, during this time he was a coach for the YMCA Striders youth running program.  All of this while attending the University of Cincinnati and getting a degree in Secondary Education.

Bill founded the Sembach Air Base Running Club and served as President while he was stationed there in the early 90s.  He is currently the President of the Georgetown Running Club.

Bill has had 2 long running streaks of running at least 25 minutes every day.  The first was 13 years, 2 months, and 3 days long and his current one is over 4 years and 7 months.

Bill has a long list of running awards and recognitions.  Most notably he was the 2013 Senior Games National Champion in the 10k and 5k for 50-54.
